A few of the guards began to get off the plane. Joe opened his door to get out, but Messiah decided to hang back for a few minutes because he needed to get his head together. He wasn’t surprised that Drew had reached out to Kenzie. Kenzie knew everything about Messiah and his entire operation. There was no reason for Kenzie to remain loyal to him, but he hoped that their relationship still had some meaning to his brother. Messiah looked out the window and noticed Jaylen and Jayden stepping off the plane, but he didn’t see Cadence. This concerned him because all three of his kids were supposed to be returning today. He opened the door, quickly hopping out of the car.

“Where is Cadence!” he shouted, walking towards the plane.

“Where the fuck is my baby girl?”

“Well hi to you too Daddy,” Jaylen said, rolling her eyes.

“I’m sorry Jaylen,” Messiah said, reaching out for her.

She walked into his arms and they hugged each other tightly. He reached out one arm towards Jayden, but Jayden wasn’t particularly in the mood. Out of all the children, Jayden felt some type of way about Messiah being with Charm because he still wanted her for himself.

“Don’t you think I’m too old to be hugging you?” Jayden said smugly.

“I am a boy.”

Messiah let Jaylen go and stared at Jayden for a second.

“If you don’t get your ass over here,” Messiah said sternly.

“I haven’t seen you in over a month and I missed you son.”

“Did you really?” Jayden shot back.

Messiah lifted an eyebrow at him.

“Is there a problem Jayden?” Messiah asked sternly.

“Because I have a problem with the fact that both of you have gotten off the plane, but my baby girl did not. I want to know why both of you are here, but Cadence is not. Where is your sister?”

Jayden shuddered at the sound of his father’s voice. He could hear the irritation and aggravation in it. And that was never a good sign.

“Papa said that you were allowing Cadence to stay behind a little while longer,” Jaylen offered. “He said he would have kept both of us, but he knew we had to start school soon.”

“I wanted to stay behind,” Jayden said irritably.

“There is really no reason for me to be here.”

“So, your family being here is no reason for you to be here?” Messiah asked, studying his son’s face.

“I have plans for Georgia to be our new home. And we can go back to Jamaica at any time to visit.”

“I heard you’re scared of what Uncle Drew has planned for your destruction. Did you know he’s building an army and grandma is helping him?” Jayden said, crossing his arms in front of him. “They say he has at least three hundred men coming from three different cartels around Jamaica. Apparently, they are our cousins on grandma’s side. She’s really angry about you killing Alfie.”

“Fuck that old woman,” Messiah said angrily.

“She never gave a fuck about me or any of you.
